$60 for 90 minutes, with a $20 charge for each additional hour.  Anywhere from 100-200 photos will be taken to insure the best choices for you to choose from. Includes:

• Multiple locations, though a small fee may be included for long distance travel between locations
• Up to 5 people, with a $10 charge for each additional person.
• Wardrobe changes, if the location has a public bathroom.
• Props- you bring your own props! Musical instruments, friendly non-exotic pets, vehicles, etc.
• 10-15 photos of your choosing. Additional photos are $1 each.
• 3 image edits, including selective color, air brushing, and more. Black & white or Sepia are not considered edits, and are free of charge. Additional edits can be done for $2 per photo.
• 1 8x10 or 2 5x7 prints of the photo of your choice.
• 1 Low Resolution CD with your photo choices on it, which allows you to have 4x6" prints made up in any quantity, with the studio logo on them. High Res CD's are available for $20 each.
• 2 Booking Dates- 1 main date, and 1 back up date for weather.

Creative Editing

Creative Edits

Before I started taking photos, I edited photos. Below are a few examples of the types of edits I can do to your photos.

To view any of the photos larger, simply click on them, and a larger photo will open.


Edits such as these below are charged at $2 each, though some packages do include a limited number of edits. Changing a photo to either Black & White or Sepia is done free of charge. For school portraits (senior or otherwise), names and the school year can be added free of charge to the corner of photos, such as this. Corners can also be rounded, as shown below.

The cost of edits is payable to Paypal or in cash at the delivery of the photos. All payments must be made before the photos are released.

Photo Collage

This style is one that looks great for larger prints of Senior Portraits, or as Family Portraits. I take 4 images, and add 3 of them in a smaller size to one side. In each of these, the smaller photos are tilted slightly, though I can also take them and make them all straight.

Scrapbook Page

In these, I make a background page to match the colors you choose, and add photos of your choosing into them. I can add text and names to each one. These typically print out at 8x10 size.

Selective Color

For selective color, you choose what you want to stand out- eyes are always a good choice, but not all eye colors will pop the same way against black and white. Blue and green work best, while gray, hazel, and brown fade out just a bit. I can also make the entire person remain in color, while making the back ground black and white. Lastly, I can take part of what the person is wearing, and make keep it in color.

Sassy Edits

This edit is really open to your to your imagination. Below are a few examples of some edits I have done to photos for people. Each is edited in a different way, and can either be fun and funky, or more classic. These are not typical edits, and can drastically change the appearance of the photos.

Vignette

Vignette is the process of washing color out around the edges of a photo. This is an older style many studios used, and can be nice in many instances. Below are a few examples. It can be done lightly just around the edges, or it can be much larger.

While Vignette is typically black or white, it can also be done in colors, as below. This can be done to match clothing, school colors, or wedding colors.

As you can see, I can do a variety of edits to really make your photos pop. I strive to give the customer exactly what they are looking for in a photo.

Below are typical edits I make to ensure your photo looks the best in both color and lighting. These edits are done free of charge.

Senior Photo Time

Now's the time to book your Senior package! The class of 2011 is gearing up for the busiest year your child has had so far. It can also be one of the most expensive times, between school dances, graduation gowns, open houses, and pictures.

If you are looking to save some money on the costs of your senior pictures, you've come to the right place. I don't charge an arm and a leg, and I don't compromise quality.

All of my photos are taken outside, in an outdoors, natural light setting. Locations range from urban to rural. 

Senior portrait sessions start at just $70 for 90 minutes of photography time in the Charlotte/Grand Ledge/Lansing area. Locations in the Battle Creek will include a $10 travel fee, so the base price is $80. Grand Rapids area will include a $20 travel fee, so the base price is $90.


Your session will include:

• Multiple outdoor locations, though a fee of $5 will be added on to distances more than 20 miles apart from one another.
• Wardrobe changes, if the location has a public bathroom.
• Props of your choosing- school uniforms, band instruments, some pets (friendly, non-exotic pets only, please), car, etc. 
• 25 photos of your choosing. Additional photos are $1 each.
• 3 image edits, including selective color, air brushing, photo collages, and more. Black & White or Sepia are not considered edits, and are free of charge. Additional edits can be done for $2 per photos.
• 1 8x10 or 2 5x7 prints or 1 sheet of 8 rounded corner, die cut wallets of the photo of your choice.
• 1 Low Resolution CD with your photo choices on it, which allows you to have prints 4x6" made up in any quantity, with a the studio logo on them. A high resolution CD is available for $20.
• 3 Photos with your Name, School, & Graduation Year added to the corner for Wallets.
• Friend or Significant Other- many Seniors wish to remember their Senior Year with a portrait taken with a friend or significant other. I charge $5 for each additional person included in the session's photos, but the focus of the session will be the senior. If you and a friend or significant other are interested in both booking a session, we can do them on the same day at the same locations for a discount to both booking parties. Email for specifics.

Expressions by Heather is happy to now provide prints with your sessions. Prints can be ordered a la carte, or in package deals.


The print service I use is fast, and uses professional, studio quality paper. Print prices are not included in you session fee, though most sessions do come with 1-2 prints each.

Wallet Name- $1

A wallet name is where I digitally add a name to the bottom, side, or corner of your wallet image. There is a flat $1 fee for this service for each image selected for wallets, regardless of how many wallets are ordered. If you choose to order 32 wallets of the same photo, the cost is $1. If you choose to order 8 wallets each of 3 different photos, the cost is $3.

Proof Book

8 page  8.5x11" proof book from your session with up to 40 images, bound with a clear or frosted cover- $35.

Images in the proof book will vary in size and layout depending on how many images are chosen. The images will include edits ordered from the session, and unedited images not selected. All 40 images will be of your choosing.

Portrait Collections
Collections can be split with several photos, to save you money. Wallets must be ordered in sheets of 8 with 1 image, all other photos are ordered individually.

Portrait Collection A:

1 8x10, 2 5x7's, 8 3.5x5's, 16 wallets - $30, a savings of $7 over A La Carte orders.

Portrait Collection B:

2 8x10's, 2 5x7's, 4 4x6's, 4 3.5x5's, 8 wallets- $30, a savings of $7 over A La Carte orders.

Portrait Collection C:

4 5x7's, 8 4x6's, 16 wallets- $30, a savings of $8 over A La Carte orders

Portrait Collection D:

1 5x7, 2 4x6's, 16 Wallets- $14, a savings of $3 over A La Carte orders.

Portrait collections can be combined together for larger packages. Ala cart items can be added at full price as well. 

My print service does require a minimum $25 purchase for each printing. If your order does not reach $25, I can hold it until another order comes in, to meet the $25 mark. If you have any questions about this, please contact me.
