Lovely Morning Session

Today, I got to meet Brittany, her husband Ryan, and their beautiful daughter Hayden, and handsome son Carter. We got to have fun at the old depot and the old courthouse! I can't wait to sort through all of the photos, but here are a few that I liked right off the bat!

Children & Teen Portraits

Portrait Session - Children & Teens

$60 for 90 minutes, with a $20 charge for each additional hour.  Anywhere from 100-200 photos will be taken to insure the best choices for you to choose from. Locations further than 25 miles from 48813 will be charged a $10 travel fee. Locations further than 50 miles from 48813 will be charged a $20 travel fee. Includes:

• Multiple locations, though a small fee may be included for long distance travel between locations
• Up to 5 people, with a $10 charge for each additional person.
• Wardrobe changes, if the location has a public bathroom.
• Props- you bring your own props! Musical instruments, friendly non-exotic pets, vehicles, etc.
• 10-15 photos of your choosing. Additional photos are $1 each.
• 3 image edits, including selective color, air brushing, and more. Black & white or Sepia are not considered edits, and are free of charge. Additional edits can be done for $2 per photo.
• 1 8x10 or 2 5x7 prints of the photo of your choice.
• 1 Low Resolution CD with your photo choices on it, which allows you to have 4x6" prints made up in any quantity, with the studio logo on them. High Res CD's are available for $20 each.
• 2 Booking Dates- 1 main date, and 1 back up date for weather.

Weddings are a big event, and the portraits taken are going to be how you remember your day. Because of the nature of how Expressions by Heather takes portraits, weddings are something that are considered case by case.

Expressions by Heather is primarily a natural light, outdoor studio. As such, I lack the necessary lighting equipment needed for indoor weddings. If you would still like to consider Expressions by Heather, please feel free to contact me. As much as I would love to witness your special day, at this time, I do only participate in outdoor ceremonies.

Silver Package - $450

• Engagement Photo Session
• 6 hours of photography service- this includes pre-ceremony, post ceremony, and the reception.

• Low res CD with up to 50 images
• Creative Edits for up to 15 images

Gold Package - $550

• Engagement Photo Session
• 8 hours of photography service- this includes pre-ceremony, post ceremony, and the reception.
• $75 Print Credit towards your portrait print order
• Low res CD with up to 75 images
• Creative Edits for up to 25 images
• Personalized Online viewing gallery for 30 days for you and guests to view portraits, and order prints directly.

Platinum Package - $650

• Engagement Photo Session
• All day photography service, starting at 10am, and running to the end of the reception.
• $100 Print Credit towards your portrait print order
• Low res CD with up to 100 images
• Creative Edits for up to 25 images
• Personalized Online viewing gallery for 30 days for you and guests to view portraits, and order prints directly.

Price does not include travel costs for weddings outside of the Lansing area- Hotel for 1 night with 2 double beds, & $50 travel fee.

Class of 2011 Senior Representative Wanted!

I am currently looking for 2 or more Class of 2011 Senior
Representatives to sit for a FREE Senior Portrait Session. I would like to work
with both a male and a female representative this year.


What is a Senior Representative?
A senior rep is a person who simply shows off their senior portraits, and
tells people where they were taken.

Are Senior Representative's paid?
Senior rep's are paid in service, not in money. The people chosen as
Senior Rep's will receive a free, extended length senior portrait session. The
session will likely take place over 2 separate days, and 3 or 4 locations. The
locations are discussed ahead of time to find places that will both showcase my
photography skills best, and suit your needs for your Senior Portraits. In
addition to a free portrait session, Senior Rep's can earn free credit points
towards their portrait print purchase. You will also receive 25 Senior Rep cards
to pass out to friends, good for 20% off their portrait print purchase.
If you receive enough paid referrals, you'll also be able to earn free
gift cards for iTunes, Subway, or Target!

What is needed from a Senior Rep?

• be in the graduating class of 2011.
• be outgoing and willing to have fun.
• sign a model release.
• bring a parent to the shoot.
• be able to participate in 1-2 photo shoots in July
• live in or be willing to travel to Lansing or Grand Rapids, Michigan
• be willing to show their portraits to friends and tell them about Expressions
by Heather Photography.

To apply, please talk with your parents first, then send a Facebook message,
email, or place a call to Heather at Expressions by Heather. Parents permission
is required for all students under the age of 18.

Not all people who apply will be chosen. The places are limited to 1 male and 1
female. Applications are being accepted through June 16th. This is not a
contest- the people chosen will be chosen at the photographers discretion.
Senior Class Representatives Will Receive:
Extended Senior Portrait Session.

3-4 Locations to show a varying degree of settings- Urban, Rural, Parks,
Etc.
Unlimited Image Selection on Low Res CD to share on Facebook, MySpace,
Twitter, Blogs, and show off on your phone & iPod.
24 Wallets of the image (or split up between 3 images) of your choosing.
25 Senior Representative Referral Cards to pass out to friends. These are
good for 20% off the Print Purchase of the person referred, so they get savings,
too!
For each paid Referral you earn, you'll receive 2 free print credits towards your own print purchase. Print credits are good for $5 off your print purchase
Receive 8 Paid Referrals, and you'll earn a free $25 iTunes, Subway, or
Target gift card.
Receive 12 Paid Referrals, and you'll earn another free $25 iTunes, Subway, or

*A paid referral means a referral who has booked, and paid for a Senior

Expressions Portrait Contest!

From now through June 15th, people in the Lansing or Grand Rapids, Michigan area can enter their child (or children!) in a contest through Facebook to win a FREE portrait session with Expressions by Heather.

You can enter all of your children but please, only 1 entry per child.

To enter, simply send a snapshot (please- no professional photos, unless that were taken by YOU!) of your child to Heather at herberkids3@yahoo.com, with the subject line: Contest Entry.

Make sure to include your Facebook name, and join the facebook group. All images will be posted on June 16th, and tagged with the parents name.

From June 16th to June 20th, spread the news to your feed, and have your friends vote. People voting will have to join the group to leave a comment, but may leave the group once the comment is posted.

The photo with the most unique votes will win a free Children's Portrait Session, valued at $60. Duplicate comments will not be counted!!

The winner must be in the Grand Rapids or Lansing area, or willing to travel to one of those two areas for your portrait session.

Winners will be announced on June 23rd on Facebook.
